7. Statistical Analysis of Your Use of Our Online Services Using the “Matomo” Analytics Tool
We also use the open-source software Matomo, which enables statistical analysis of visitor access using cookies (see also the “Cookies” section). The usage information collected by Matomo via a cookie, such as the pages you visit, the browser you use, your computer’s operating system, and the referrer URL (the website previously visited), is anonymized and used to analyze usage and continuously improve our services.
Your IP address is anonymized during this process, so that you remain anonymous to us as a user. Nevertheless, you can object to the collection of your data by Matomo as follows:
- You can prevent cookies from being stored by adjusting the corresponding settings in your browser. However, please note that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of our website to their full extent.
- You can prevent a web analytics cookie from being stored in your browser cache by disabling the checkbox below.
This will place what is known as an opt-out cookie in your browser. Matomo will then not collect any session data. Please note: If you delete your cookies, the opt-out cookie will also be deleted. 9. Use of Personal Data by YouTube When Watching YouTube Videos
Our online services contain videos embedded from the YouTube platform. YouTube is operated by YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA, represented by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
As soon as you access a page of our online services containing an embedded YouTube video, the plugin is activated to provide the corresponding audiovisual content from YouTube. YouTube uses cookies to determine which video you have watched and, based on the video viewed, to display similar, new, or thematically related videos the next time you visit YouTube. YouTube may also use this information to display relevant advertising. In addition, YouTube learns which pages of our online services you have visited.
If you are logged in to YouTube or your Google account while visiting our online services, YouTube and Google may associate your activities with your user account. This means that YouTube may be able to identify you as an individual and process your personal data under these circumstances.
